We learn five crucial lessons regarding fearing God and fatherhood from the brief biblical account of Job's righteous living.

Although over 40 chapters are dedicated to Job’s trial and his handling of it, it is striking that only one verse describes his God-fearing, blameless character which led up to the trial -- and that verse is completely concerned with the kind of father that Job was!

We are reminded that there is nothing virtuous about fatherhood itself: only in being a God-fearing, gospel-training, soul-influencing father.
