"The Lord is in his holy temple: let all the earth keep silence before him" (Habakkuk 2:20).
Today we come to the last Sunday broadcast of our anniversary month. Our theme is Things Can Be Better Today.
In our 61st Anniversary Broadcast on the first Sunday, we used excerpts from messages, all of which pointed us to the hope and help we find in Jesus Christ -- so that no matter what our burden and trial may be, things will be better as we turn to him.
For the last two Sundays our subject was "Let Not Your Heart Be Troubled." These words spoken by Jesus to his disciples, at a time when they were greatly troubled, are for us today. Things can be better when we rest in Jesus and his promises.
Now today as we speak of our sovereign God in his holy temple, ruling according to his pleasure, we once again return to the subject of how things can be better. When we lose sight of God's sovereignty and conclude we must make it through the difficulties of life on our own, things will appear very dark as we look ahead. But when we understand God is in charge, and we bow in submission to his will, things will be better today.
