“Ye have said, It is vain to serve God: and what profit is it that we have kept his ordinance, and that we have walked mournfully before the Lord of hosts?” (Malachi 3:14).
As we look at Malachi 3:10-15, we first consider God’s promise. God had promised his people abundant blessings when they walked obediently. But we then observe the people’s complaint. They used stout words against the Lord. They felt they had served God but things were not all going their way so they concluded it is vain to serve him. We then look at the right conclusion. In fact it is not vain to serve God and we cite several biblical reasons as to why this is true.
