"After this manner therefore pray ye: Our Father which art in heaven, hallowed be thy name" (Matthew 6:9).
When we pray, we have a tendency to rush in with our many requests. But when Jesus taught his disciples to pray, he taught them to begin with God's name, God's kingdom, and God's will.
God is here recognized as being holy and our first concern should for his name to be honored and his glory to be displayed. The vision that Isaiah received of the Lord high and lifted up humbled him with a deep sense our his own unworthiness; but after being cleansed he was ready to be used in God's service.
Listen as in today's message great emphasis is placed on the holiness of God.
