“Because thine heart was tender, and didst humble thyself before God, when thou heardest his words against this place, and against the inhabitants thereof, and humbledst thyself before me, and didst rend thy clothes, and weep before me; I have even heard thee also, saith the Lord” (2 Chronicles 34:27).
Josiah was a godly king, and we see in this verse that God was pleased with his tender heart. As we think about a tender heart we first want to consider the blessing of it. It is an evidence of grace and a place where God dwells. We then look at the evidence of it and finally, the maintenance of it.
